After moving on from the Phantom, the new Cantor 17″ immediately impressed me with its solid construction and comfortable grip. Combined with 45lb limbs it delivers great power while remaining smooth and very accurate. The only thing I had to do was adjust the bushings through which the set screws pass for limb bolt locking – they were slightly misaligned. It’s a small thing, but everyone should check it before first use. Shooting with it is pure joy, and the flexibility of the ILF system is a huge advantage. Absolutely satisfied.

After many years of happily using the Phantom 56″ Take Down Recurve Bow, which my girlfriend now shoots with newly purchased 30lb limbs, I decided to upgrade for myself and bought the Cantor 17″ ILF Take Down Riser with 45lb limbs (about 55lb draw weight).
The new riser impressed me immediately with its solid build and comfortable grip. It feels very stable, and together with the limbs, the bow has plenty of power while remaining smooth and accurate. Shooting with it is a real pleasure – definitely a big step up compared to my old setup.
What I value most is the flexibility of the ILF system, as it allows easy upgrades in the future. With Phantom now set up for my partner and the Cantor for myself, we both enjoy shooting with equipment perfectly suited to our needs.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. For the price, the quality is outstanding, and just like my old Phantom, I expect this riser to serve me reliably for many years. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a powerful and flexible recurve setup.

Fantastic value in a 17″ ILF riser. I liked this riser so much I have two of them.

The rated draw weights of the ILF limbs are measured when used with the 25" risers. When used with a shorter riser, the draw weight will be higher. Use this table to find out which draw weight option you actually need for your setup.
